Dinah Was Here

Family Travels

The family that travels together…

I love to travel. I was bitten by the bug in 2007 and has been traveling on a shoestring budget ever since. Before that, I have only been to Batangas, my hometown and some places in Laguna, Rizal, Cavite and Bulacan. They were not even travels and more like out of town swimming trips with the family.  The farthest that I have been before that was in Ilocos, my husband’s hometown, when we went home for a wake. And that was not a leisure trip. Then I turned 30 and as they say, the rest was history.

After 2007, and during the start of Cebu Pacific’s Piso sale,  I have since been to Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Camiguin, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and some more.  The trips are sometimes with the whole clan, like in Cebu, or with the whole family like in Bohol, or with the Superfriends like in Coron or just me and my hubby in Boracay and Palawan.  I have also been to Cambodia and Vietnam twice! And I will be going to El Nido this July, and in Singapore-Malaysia in February next year.  Yes, I have been bitten by the travel bug and it was bad!

So what can you expect from this blog? I will write about all my previous travels (not that it hasn’t been written because it was!) with suggested itinerary and expense reports and just basically how I do it.  I am poor. Okay, maybe not poor but I am a mom of 3 school age kids, who pay the rent and amortization, has bills and lots of obligations.  I am not ashamed to say that I sometimes borrow money to support this vice, yes, this could be actually my only vice, but I am able to pay my loans, thank you very much.  So if you are interested, you can read about them all here.  If you really want something, then it can be done!

Yeah, Dinah was here!
